Made of Matter introduces students to several important concepts about matter.
Students learn that everything around them is made of tiny particles called atoms, and that atoms joined together are called molecules.
By comparing different amounts of everyday materials, students get a sense of just how tiny atoms and molecules are.
They are introduced to models as representations of atoms and molecules and learn that all molecules of one kind are exactly the same.
Students also learn that molecules can have different properties, and that most matter is a mixture of substances.
